My name is Dr. David Strauss. After school and military service, I studied economics and philosophy at the university of Tuebingen, before I went on to do a PhD in Economics at the European University Institute in Florence. From 2014 to 2018, I was a professor of economics at an university in Mexico City (CIDE).
In 2019 I converted an old truck into a mobile home, to live off grid as painter, philosopher, economist, and thinker. I am not a crazy traveller, as I am fully aware that more than approx 10kg of CO2 emissions per day per person are not sustainable. To divide that among food, heating, consumption requirements, painting utensils, and transportation, does not allow me a budget of more than 3000km per year. As I said, I truly want to live true to my word.
